At about 1:16 a.m. on Friday, October 16, 2026, officers assigned to District B-3 conducted a stop at the intersection of Delhi Street and Wooddale Avenue, resulting in the arrest of Kareem Seales, 24, of Hyde Park, on firearm-related charges.
While on patrol in the area of Delhi Street, officers observed a rental vehicle idling with two occupants inside and a large amount of smoke exiting through the windows. As officers approached, they observed both occupants smoking a marijuana cigarette and noticed a questionable inspection sticker on the vehicle. Officers explained to the operator that he could not smoke marijuana while operating the vehicle and requested identification from both occupants.
After further observation and investigation, officers asked both occupants to exit the vehicle. As officers attempted to remove passenger Seales, he resisted and leaned further back into the vehicle. Officers assisted Seales out of the vehicle and conducted a pat frisk, during which they felt a hard metal object near his waistline. Officers recovered a firearm from Seales’ front hoodie pocket and placed him in handcuffs. An inquiry revealed that Seales did not have a License to Carry.
District detectives arrived on scene and processed the firearm, which was identified as a Charter Arms Corp. revolver loaded with five rounds of .38 SPL ammunition.
Seales is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on the following charges:
- Carrying a Firearm Without a License
- Carrying a Loaded Firearm Without a License
- Possession of Ammunition Without an FID Card
