On Wednesday, October 7, 2026, Boston Police officers marked National Coffee with a Cop Day at the Gallivan Community Center, joining partners from the Boston Housing Authority and Shirley’s Pantry for a morning of conversation and community connection.
Officers from the Youth Violence Strike Force (YVSF) were on hand to meet with residents, answer questions, and share a cup of coffee in a relaxed, informal setting. Approximately 35 community members stopped by throughout the event.
The Boston Police Department thanks the Boston Housing Authority, the Gallivan Community Center, and Shirley’s Pantry for their partnership, and everyone who came out to join the conversation. We look forward to the next opportunity to connect with our neighbors.
