On Thursday, August 20, 2026, officers and detectives assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) and members of the Youth Violence Strike Force arrested Christian Taylor, 19, of Dorchester, and a 15-year-old juvenile male, on multiple firearm offenses.
About 2:04 PM, police were conducting a firearm investigation in the area of 50 American Legion Highway. Officers were aware that an individual was in possession of multiple semi-automatic firearms and was under the age of 21, making him unable to obtain a license to carry.
Boston Police officers were monitoring the address and observed the suspect exit the front door with an unknown individual. The suspect was seen walking towards Blue Hill Avenue when he observed officers. At that time, the suspect began to run and was clutching his waistband. The suspect was stopped, and a pat frisk was conducted. A firearm was recovered from inside the suspect’s shorts.
Simultaneously to the arrest, an unidentified second male fled the area towards Franklin Park. A foot pursuit ensued, and the suspect was seen to be clutching an object in the front of his waistband. The suspect tripped and fell, and officers were able to handcuff him. During the arrest, a firearm was located a few feet from where the suspect had fallen.
Once both suspects were secured, District Detectives executed a search warrant at 50 American Legion Highway. As a result of the search warrant, detectives located and recovered a firearm.
The three firearms recovered from this incident are as follows:
1. Beretta 92X with one round in the chamber and seven rounds in a magazine capable of holding eighteen rounds
2. Ghost gun equipped with a flashlight attachment and a red grip with one round in the chamber and four rounds in a magazine capable of holding fifteen rounds
3. Derringer CB38 with one round in the chamber
Both suspects were placed under arrest and are expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court for the charges of:
Christian Taylor, 19, of Dorchester:
– Two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm
– Two counts of unlawful possession of ammunition without an FID card
– Two counts of possession of a large capacity feeding device
– Unlawful possession of a loaded firearm
– Firearm violation with one prior violent crime
15-year-old juvenile male:
– Delinquent to wit; Unlawful possession of a firearm
– Delinquent to wit; Unlawful possession of ammunition without an FID card
– Delinquent to wit; Unlawful possession of a loaded firearm
– Delinquent to wit; Possession of a large capacity feeding device
A 17-year-old juvenile female was also summonsed to Dorchester District Court for Delinquent to wit; Unlawful possession of ammunition without an FID card.
