District Detectives assigned to District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) arrested Michael Smith, 37, of Hyde Park, in connection with two recent breaking and entering incidents reported in the area of Heath Street.
On Wednesday, August 5, 2026, officers responded to a breaking and entering in progress at 182 Heath Street, where the victim reported that an unknown male entered his bedroom through a window while he was sleeping. The suspect fled after attempting to pull the victim’s blanket off.
Detectives also connected Smith to a separate breaking and entering reported on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at 180 Heath Street, where the victim reported that an unknown male entered her apartment while she was sleeping.
Smith is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court on the following charge:
