Drug Investigation Leads to One Arrest, Recovery of Various Drugs, Cash and Two Firearms in Dorchester

Keeping Boston Safe: On Monday, March 23, 2026, members of the District C-11 (Dorchester) and District B-3 (Mattapan) Drug Control Units executed a search warrant in the area of Hamilton Street in Dorchester resulting in the arrest of Lonnie Fortes, 47-years-old of Dorchester and the recovery of two firearms, drugs, and cash.

Officers conducted a drug investigation into the suspect which resulted in the retention of a search warrant for both the suspect’s person as well as his residence.

At about 3:30 PM, while surveilling the suspect’s residence, officers observed the suspect arrive at the location in his motor vehicle. Officers approached the suspect and notified him of the search warrants. The suspect provided the keys to the residence which officers used to make entry.

Upon entering the residence, officers recovered the following items, a Harrington and Richardson Arms .22 caliber firearm, a Navy Arms Company .22 caliber firearm, four plastic bags containing crack cocaine, four plastic bags containing marijuana, thirty Oxycodone pills, twelve Adderall pills, drug paraphernalia, and an undisclosed amount of US Currency.

The suspect, Lonnie Fortes, is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on the following charges, two counts of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Improper Storage of a Firearm, two counts of Possession with Intent to District Class B Substance, Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B Substance Subsequent Offense, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class D Substance Subsequent Offense.
