Keeping Boston Safe: At about 9:25 PM on Thursday, March 19, 2026, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for a breaking and entering in progress in the area of 32 Maple Street in Roxbury.
While enroute to the aforementioned location, officers received information via Boston Police Operations that several males were standing on a moped attempting to break into a house through the window. Officers arrived on scene and observed a group of six individuals in the alley in the rear of 32 Maple Street. When additional units arrived to secure the six males, officers located two firearms within the alley. At this time, two of the male suspects attempted to flee the scene, but were apprehended and taken into custody following a brief foot pursuit.
The firearms were determined to be a SIG Sauer P365 XL loaded with eleven rounds of live ammunition and a Canik TP9SF loaded with one round of live ammunition. Both firearms were secured at the scene.
Officers arrested Zyon Allen-Gonzalez, 18-years-old of Braintree and a 15-year-old juvenile male of Dorchester. The remaining individuals were identified and released.
Allen-Gonzalez is charged with Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License Second Offense, Carrying a Firearm without a License Second Offense, Unlawful Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm, and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition Subsequent Offense. The juvenile suspect is charged with Delinquent to wit: Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, Carrying a Firearm without a License, Unlawful Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition.
Both suspects are expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
