BPD in the Community: Mayor Wu, Commissioner Cox and Boston Police Officers Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day Across Boston

Mayor Wu, Commissioner Cox, and officers from across the BPD were out in neighborhoods across the city this past weekend celebrating the upcoming St. Patrick’s Day holiday.

The celebrations began in Charlestown, where Mayor Wu, Commissioner Cox, and officers from District A-1 joined seniors at the Beverly Gibbons Center. Guests enjoyed great conversation, shared plenty of laughs, and celebrated the holiday with festive St. Patrick’s Day desserts.

Next up, Mayor Wu and officers from District C-6 attended the Condon Community Center’s St. Patrick’s Day luncheon at St. Peter’s Parish Hall in South Boston. Officers helped serve lunch, caught up with neighbors, and even joined in the dancing as the room filled with festive music.

It was a great weekend celebrating with those we serve and sharing in one of Boston’s most cherished traditions!
