On Monday, February 9, 2026, officers assigned to District D-4 (South End) arrested Jason Johnson, 43, of Wenham, for unarmed robbery.
About 10:45 PM, officers responded to the area of 587 Boylston Street, CVS Pharmacy, for a report of a male suspect who stole an employee’s phone and fled the scene wearing a ski mask over his face. As an officer arrived on scene, a store employee pointed at the suspect running down Boylston Street.
The officer was able to detain the suspect, and recovered the stolen phone. As the officer conducted a search incident to arrest, four plastic bags of cocaine were recovered from the suspect’s pocket. The stolen phone was promptly returned to the victim.
Johnson was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court for the following offenses:
– Unarmed Robbery
– Possession of Class B Drug
