BPD Community Alert: Boston Police Seek Public’s Help Locating 17-Year-Old Mela Rosario of Dorchester

The Boston Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating 17-year-old Mela Rosario, who was reported missing from Dorchester.

At about 11:00 PM on Thursday, January 29, 2026, Mela Rosario, was reported missing from her residence located on Thornley Street in Dorchester.

Mela Rosario has not returned home or been in contact with family since approximately 11:30 AM earlier that day. She was last seen in the vicinity of the Brockton Family Courthouse following a scheduled court appearance and was expected to return home by 10:00 PM. 

Mela Rosario is described as approximately 5 feet 1 inch tall, with brown skin, a medium build, brown eyes, and brown, medium-length hair with a blonde streak. She was last seen wearing a pink jacket, black leggings, brown Ugg boots, and glasses with clear black frames.

The Boston Police Department is actively working to locate Mela Rosario and urges anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to call 911 or contact District C-11 Detectives at (617) 343-4335.
