On December 16, 2025, members of the District C-11 (Dorchester) Drug Control Unit, working in coordination with the B-2 (Roxbury) and B-3 (Mattapan) Drug Control Units, arrested two individuals following a drug investigation in Dorchester.
As part of the investigation, officers executed a search warrant at a residence located at 41 Norton Street. The primary target of the investigation was identified as 44-year-old Dana Jordan of Dorchester.
At approximately 1:45 PM, officers conducting surveillance observed Jordan exit the residence. He was later stopped inside a grocery store located at 217 Bowdoin Street. Following this interaction, officers returned to 41 Norton Street to execute the search warrant. Officers knocked and announced their presence before entering through an unlocked door while continuing to identify themselves. A protective sweep of the residence was conducted, during which two additional individuals were located inside and informed of the search warrant prior to officers proceeding.
During the search of the residence, officers recovered one plastic bag containing crack cocaine, located on a bedroom window, and one plastic bag containing 54 pills later identified as Oxycodone.
During the course of the investigation, officers determined that Jordan was staying between 41 Norton Street and 28 Jacob Street in Dorchester with another individual, identified as 64-year-old Dana Smart.
After securing the first location, officers responded to 28 Jacob Street. Officers knocked and announced their presence and made contact with Smart from outside the residence. After approximately two minutes, Smart opened the door. While inside the residence, officers observed drug paraphernalia in Smart’s bedroom, including cocaine residue, marijuana residue, a scale, and plastic baggies. Further investigation led officers to believe that Smart may be in possession of a firearm.
A subsequent search revealed two firearms inside a bag located under a bed. Officers recovered a Colt .45 caliber semi-automatic firearm, a .38 Special revolver loaded with six rounds of ammunition, one magazine loaded with seven .45 caliber rounds, and two 9mm rounds of ammunition.
Dana Smart was placed into custody and charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition.
As a result of the narcotics recovered at 41 Norton Street, Dana Jordan was charged with possession with intent to distribute a Class B substance (crack cocaine) and possession with intent to distribute Oxycodone.
Both individuals were arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
