On Wednesday, May 21, 2025, Officers and Detectives assigned to the Boston Police Youth Violence Strike Force arrested a 17-year-old male from Dorchester following an investigation into an armed robbery that occurred on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at 633 River Street in Mattapan.
At approximately 9:00 PM on May 18, two juvenile victims entered District E-18 to report they had been robbed at gunpoint while visiting a friend at the River Street address around 6:00 PM that evening. According to the victims, an individual known to them retrieved a firearm from a drawer, placed it against the back of one of the victim’s heads, and forcibly took a sweatshirt. Before departing, the suspect allegedly made threats of bodily harm toward both victims.
District E-18 Detectives conducted a thorough investigation and were able to identify the suspect. They subsequently obtained an arrest warrant and a search warrant for the suspect’s residence.
At approximately 6:15 AM on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, members of the Youth Violence Strike Force executed both warrants at 204 Delphi Street. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. During the search of the residence, Officers recovered the stolen sweatshirt as well as a loaded Taurus GX4 firearm with an obliterated serial number.
The juvenile suspect is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on the following charges:
- Armed Robbery
- Two Counts of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon
- Two Counts of Threats to Commit a Crime
- Two Counts of Witness Intimidation
