In Memoriam: The Boston Police Department mourns the recent passing of active-duty civilian employee Ms. Janice Harty, on Friday, March 21, 2025.
Ms. Harty was assigned to the Boston Police Department Operations Division on July 22, 2006. She was first assigned to the Neighborhood Interaction Unit, then became a Communications Equipment Operator, answering 9-1-1 calls for service for many years.
Ms. Hardy was highly regarded by those she worked with, her supervisors and all who knew her, both within the Department and by those we serve. As you go about your duties, please keep Janice Hardy and her family in your thoughts.
