Roxbury Officers Arrested Six Suspects and Recovered Two Firearms

At about 6:00 PM, on Thursday, February 20, 2025, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) were on patrol in the area of Ruggles Street and Cabot Street. Officers observed an individual walking in the area, who they knew from prior firearm cases to include discharging a firearm.

As Officers were driving near the male individual, when he took notice of officers’ presence and began walking to a side door at 100 Cabot Street. The individual was let inside of the building, which officers knew was not his residence.

Officers made entrance into the building from the front door, and observed a group of six individuals loitering in the stairwell where the side door was located. Officers were aware that the group did not reside there and was trespassing in the building.

After further investigation, officers conducted a pat frisk of the group. Officers were able to recover a firearm from the front pouch of one of the suspect’s hooded sweatshirt. Officers then observed a discarded red tote bag in the middle of the stairwell where the group was sitting. Officers pat frisked the bag and recovered a second firearm.

The firearms were later determined to be Taurus G2C with one round in the chamber and twelve rounds in the magazine, and a Smith & Wesson .357 Magnum with no rounds in the cylinder.

A 13-year-old Juvenile Male was charged with Delinquent to wit; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Delinquent to wit; Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Delinquent to wit; Unlawful Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, Delinquent to wit; Unlawful Possession of a Loaded Firearm, and Trespassing. Officers also discovered that the suspect had an active arrest warrant for Unarmed Assault to Rob.

A 17-year-old Juvenile Female was charged with Delinquent to wit Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and Trespassing. The suspect also had a warrant for her arrest for Larceny over $1,200.

Jayden Prather-Walker, 22, of Boston, Joel Navarez, 18, of Revere, two Sixteen-year-old juvenile females, were charged with Trespassing.

All the suspects are expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
