Boston Police Conclude “Operation Wildcat,” Arrest Two on Firearms and Drug Trafficking Charges

On January 23, 2025, at approximately 9:55 AM, members of the Boston Police C-6 Drug Control Unit, Youth Violence Strike Force, and Milton Police Department executed a search warrant at 91 Thacher Street, Milton as part of “Operation Wildcat,” an ongoing narcotics investigation. The warrant targeted 24-year-old Edward Hassell, of Milton, and included a search of his person, residence, and vehicle. Upon entry, Officers secured Hassell, along with 24-year-old Joshua Ducheine, of Milton, and another individual.

During the search, Officers recovered two firearms, including a Smith & Wesson .40 caliber handgun with an obliterated serial number, a Smith & Wesson .357 magnum revolver, multiple rounds of ammunition, 11 grams of fentanyl, 13 grams of cocaine, a scale, empty plastic bags, and an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency believed to be proceeds from drug sales. Additionally, Officers located a cell phone used in drug transactions.

Both Hassell and Ducheine will face charges including:

  • Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (two counts)
  • Possession of a Firearm with an Obliterated Serial Number
  • Possession of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony
  • Unlawful Possession of Ammunition
  • Trafficking Class A Drugs (Fentanyl)
  • Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B Drugs (Cocaine)
