At about 7:44 PM on Friday, December 20, 2024, officers assigned to District D-4 (South End) responded to the area of 206 Newbury Street for a report of a larceny in progress. Boston Police Operations provided officers with a description of the fleeing suspect. Officers located the suspect and a foot pursuit ensued. Officers were able to apprehend the suspect and placed her into handcuffs. The suspect, Erin Shruhan, 28 of Boston, was charged with Shoplifting. The suspect was also wanted on an outstanding warrant sought out of South Boston District Court for Assault to Murder, and Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon.
The suspect had been highlighted on a BPD Most Wanted List and is expected to appear in Boston Municipal Court for arraignment.
