At about 9:20 AM, on Monday, December 9, 2024, members of the Drug Control Unit of District C-11 (Dorchester) with the assistance of the FBI Metro Gang Task Force arrested William Pritchett, 38, of Dorchester, Michael Hardy, 59, of Mattapan, and Philoma Barrows, 52, of Dorchester on various drug and firearm charges.
Officers were conducting an ongoing drug investigation when they observed the target of their investigation in the area of Richfield Street. Officers applied for and were granted a search warrant for the target, and began to approach him on foot.
Officers stopped the individual and recovered a firearm from his jacket pocket. The firearm was later determined to be a .38 Special Revolver loaded with five rounds.
The suspect was informed that the police had a search warrant for his residence located on Rock Terrace. As officers made entrance into the apartment, they located two individuals inside the residence. The search warrant was executed and police recovered a stolen AK47 style rifle with a fifty round drum magazine loaded with eleven rounds, a Taurus Firearm, a magazine with twenty-nine rounds of ammunition, and 73 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine.
William Pritchett was placed under arrest and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Receiving Stolen Property, Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License 2nd Offense, Firearm Violation with Three Prior Violent/Drug Crimes, and Trafficking of Class B.
Michael Hardy was placed under arrest and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Machine Gun, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Receiving Stolen Property, and Armed Career Criminal Level 1.
Philoma Barrows was placed under arrest and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Machine Gun, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Receiving Stolen Property.
All three suspects are expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
