Investigation Update: At about 10:55 AM, on Monday, November 18, 2024, members of the Youth Violence Strike Force arrested Demetrius Aaron, 31, of Roxbury, in the area of 333 Risciutti Drive in Quincy. After further investigation, officers recovered a firearm which was later determined to be a Taurus G2C with one round in the chamber and nine rounds in the magazine.
At the time of his arrest, the suspect was wanted on a warrant issued out of Roxbury District Court for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Carrying a Loaded Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Discharging a Firearm within 500 Feet of a Dwelling, Possession of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, Intentional or Reckless Discharge of a Firearm; Striking a Dwelling or Other Building, and Armed Career Criminal Level 2. He is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
The facts and circumstances surrounding the prior incident are as follows: At about 7:20 PM, on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to the area of 26 Annunciation Road for a report of shots fired. Officers located ballistic evidence on scene and no injured parties.
