At about 2:40 PM on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, members of the Fugitive Unit and officers assigned to District D-4 (South End) made an onsite warrant arrest of Geetha Rathnamala, 46, of Boston, in the area of 71 Newbury Street. At the time of her arrest, the suspect was wanted on an outstanding Full Extradition warrant sought out of New York City for Felony Assault Two. She will be additionally charged with Fugitive from Justice.
The suspect had been recently highlighted on a BPD Most Wanted List and is expected to appear in Boston Municipal Court for arraignment.
