At about 11:37 PM, on Sunday, August 25, 2024, officers assigned to District C-6 (South Boston) arrested Amber Kelly, 34, of Boston, on Assault and Battery charges.
Officers responded to the area of 112 Southampton Street for a report of a person stabbed. Upon arrival, officers observed the victim being treated by Boston EMS. The adult male victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers were advised that a fight occurred, and a female suspect stabbed the victim. Officers were provided a description of the suspect and were able to locate her in the area of Massachusetts Avenue and Melnea Cass Boulevard.
Kelly was placed under arrest and charged with Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon. The suspect also had five active warrants. She is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
