No better way to beat the heat!
BPD officers from District C-11, the Bureau of Community Engagement, School Engagement, and our Cadets kicked off a series of field days in partnership with the City of Boston Parks & Recreation Department’s Summer Sports Centers!
Officers had a blast playing games with the Dorchester youth at Garvey Park. The kids enjoyed pizza, and cooled off thanks to the BPD ice cream truck (and our partners at the BPD Foundation and HP Hood).
The highlight of the day was the highly anticipated water balloon battle. Laughter and cheers filled the air as officers and kids engaged in a friendly showdown, showcasing the playful side of community policing!
As the summer heats up, these field days offer the perfect way to stay cool while building strong community ties!
