At about 10:58 PM, on Monday, July 8th, 2024, Officers assigned to District D-4 (Back Bay/South End) arrested Alan Charles, 18, of Brockton, and a 17-year-old juvenile, on robbery charges after responding to a person with a gun 911 call at 157 Massachusetts Ave.
Upon arrival, Officers located the victim at 157 Massachusetts Ave. and he stated to Officers that he was approached by two males who demanded that he started his moped scooter so they could take it. While attempting to start the moped, the victim stated that one of the suspect’s brandished a firearm, pointed it at him, and struck him in the face with it before they both fled on the victim’s moped. The victim provided a description of both suspects and Officers started to canvas the area. The victim was transported to a local hospital for further treatment of his injuries.
The victim was able to track his stolen moped with a GPS device and Officers were able to locate it in the rear of a building located on Beacon St. While recovering the stolen moped, additional Officers responded and located Alan Charles and a juvenile suspect on nearby streets.
Alan Charles was arrested and is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court for the charges of Armed Robbery to wit Firearm.
A juvenile was also arrested and is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court for the charges of Delinquent Armed Robbery to wit Firearm.
