At about 4:22 PM, on Saturday, July 6, 2024, officers assigned to the Anti-Crime Unit of District D-4 (South End) arrested a 16-year-old Juvenile male, and Danielson Jeudy, 18, of Mattapan, on firearm charges and warrants.
Officers were on patrol in the area of Massachusetts Avenue and Washington Street when they observed a group of three individuals crossing the street. Officers were aware that one of the male individuals had an active warrant for his arrest.
Officers exited their cruiser near Parmalee Street, and observed one male individual clutching an object in his waistband. The male suspect with the active warrant immediately sprinted from officers towards Northampton Street. A foot pursuit ensued, and officers were able to apprehend the suspect.
The suspect holding his waistband ran in the opposite direction in attempts to evade officers. Detectives in the area observed the suspect duck behind a motor vehicle and discard an unknown item. Detectives were able to place the suspect into handcuffs, and recovered a firearm from underneath a vehicle.
The firearm was later determined to be a Keltec P11 with one round in the chamber and five rounds in the magazine. The firearm’s serial number was also scratched off.
The 16-year-old juvenile male was placed under arrest and charged with Delinquent to wit; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and Delinquent to wit; Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Defacement of a Firearm Serial Number. He is expected to be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court.
Jeudy was placed under arrest for an active arrest warrant for charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Shoplifting over $250, and Removal of a Theft Detection Device. He is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court.
