A-1 Officers Capture Trio Involved in Downtown Unarmed Robbery

On Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at approximately 4:39 PM, officers from A-1 (Downtown) apprehended Marcos Polanco, 23, hailing from Worcester, Ezequiel Rodriguez, 24, from Dorchester, and a 17-year-old juvenile male, in connection with an unarmed robbery and drug possession.

Responding to reports of a disturbance near the intersection of Washington St and Broomfield St, officers were directed to Province St by dispatch. Upon arrival, the officers positively identified the suspects based on victim statements, who reported the theft of an envelope containing cash and jewelry.

Following a thorough investigation, officers successfully retrieved the stolen envelope containing $1900 in cash and the victim’s cell phone from the suspects. Furthermore, they confiscated a plastic bag containing multiple Xanax pills and another containing a white substance resembling a rock.

All three suspects were promptly placed under arrest and charged with unarmed robbery. In addition, Polanco faced an extra charge of possessing a class E substance, the juvenile male was charged with receiving stolen property, and Rodriguez faced an additional charge of possessing a class B substance. All three are expected to be arraigned at Boston Municipal Court.
