BPD In The Community: Officers assigned to the District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) Community Service Office Conducted their 22nd Annual Polar Express Christmas Event. Every year children and families in need are referred to our office from local churches, schools, and also identified by E-13 CSO’s in our community outreach efforts throughout the year. Each family was able to bring their child/children to see Santa and his elves and receive their gift from Santa while keeping a watchful eye on the always plotting Mr. Grinch.
This year we gave out over 500 toys to children and families in need as well as local churches and schools who requested assistance from us this holiday season!
This event would not be possible without the support from our community partners, PAL, and the generosity of the officers and civilians from E-13 who adopted a child and shopped for them.
