At about 1:30 PM, on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, officers assigned to District D-14 (Allston/Brighton) arrested Jeremie Rowell, 31, of Dedham, for multiple package thefts.
Officers responded to the area of 1152 Commonwealth Avenue to investigate a person attempting to gain access into the building. Officers were provided a description of the suspect, and observed him leaving the area. Officers ordered the suspect to stop, which he refused, and attempted to flee. A lengthy foot pursuit ensued and officers were able to place the suspect into handcuffs.
After further investigation, officers determined that the suspect was involved in multiple package thefts the day prior in the area of 1152 Commonwealth Avenue.
Rowell was placed under arrest and charged with: Attempted breaking and entering, receiving stolen property over $1,200, larceny from a building and trespassing. He is expected to be arraigned in Brighton District Court.
