On Saturday, October 24, 2026, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) arrested a 16-year-old male on multiple firearm related offenses.
About 12:39 AM, police were stopped at the red light at the intersection of Quincy Street and Bowdoin Street. Officers observed a motor vehicle with excessive window tint and conducted a traffic stop at Adams Street and Winter Street.
Officers spoke with the driver and front seat passenger; however, police could not see the rear passengers. Multiple requests were made to roll down the back windows which the passengers refused. After further requests, the rear passengers finally complied and rolled down the windows. Six individuals were seen sitting in the rear of the vehicle with one seated on the floor. Police observed individuals not wearing seatbelts and the vehicle was not able to safely seat eight passengers.
While speaking with the occupants, officers began to identify each passenger. With the assistance of responding officers, an exit order was issued for all passengers. After each individual exited the vehicle, officers conducted a pat frisk of the car and located a firearm under the left rear seat. The suspect seated in that location was placed into handcuffs and transported for booking.
Detectives were requested to respond to the scene and determined the firearm to be a Glock 30 with a laser attachment and nine rounds in the magazine.
The 16-year-old male was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court for the following charges:
– Delinquent to wit; Carry a firearm without a license
– Delinquent to wit; Carry a loaded firearm without a license
– Delinquent to wit; Possession of ammunition
