As part of our weeklong Faith & Blue Celebrations, the BPD Band performed a concert for a packed house at East Boston Central Catholic. The celebration continued with students singing, dancing and enjoying some ice cream – thanks to our friends at HP Hood and the Boston Police Foundation! 🍦🎶
The nationally recognized Faith & Blue Initiative strengthens police-community bonds by uniting law enforcement, faith-based institutions and the community. The Boston Police Department has been an engaged, supportive and participating partner since 2022 and has grown from a weekend celebration, into a full week. Faith-based partnerships are a powerful motivator to addressing some of the community’s most challenging issues, including addressing violence, quality of life issues and building trust.
