Commissioner Cox and the Boston Police Department were proud to again support the Greater Boston Church League for its 24th Annual Community Fellowship Luncheon.
This year’s honorees included our very own, Deputy Superintendent Juana Hernandez, who took over as our liaison to the program this summer and was there each weekend helping and supporting the kids and families.
The league offers any kid ages 9-12 in Boston a free baseball program each summer and our officers join the fun, as coaches. The Boston Red Sox are firmly on the team as well, and the Boston Police Foundation are great supporters providing much needed equipment.
We also want to give a big shout out to Mr. Frank Jordan. He came up with this idea nearly 25 years ago, and it is still growing! We are grateful to have partners like this.
