On Thursday, September 10, 2026, officers and detectives assigned to District A-1 (Downtown) conducted a targeted enforcement operation focused on scooters and mopeds. The initiative was organized in response to ongoing public safety concerns regarding the use of these vehicles in the Downtown neighborhoods.
As a result of this operation, officers arrested three individuals, issued summonses for ten individuals, and towed fourteen scooters for violations of the auto laws.
The Boston Police Department remains committed to improving traffic safety and will continue to conduct enforcement operations across the city.
