At approximately 12:20 PM on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, officers assigned to the B-3 (Mattapan) and E-18 (Hyde Park) Drug Control Units executed a search warrant that resulted in the arrest of Bryan Scruggs Jr. and the recovery of drugs and cash in the area of 22 Harvard Street in Dorchester.
Officers conducted an investigation into the suspect which resulted in the retention of a search warrant for the suspect’s person and his residence.
At approximately 12:10 PM, officers observed the suspect exit his residence on Harvard Street where he was approached by officers who were able to retrieve the keys to his residence.
Inside the suspect’s residence, officers recovered approximately 30 Grams of a substance believed to be cocaine as well as an undisclosed amount of US Currency.
Officers arrested Bryan Scruggs Jr., 43-years-old, of Dorchester. Scruggs is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on charges of Trafficking a Class B Substance and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B Substance Subsequent Offense.
