The Boston Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in efforts to identify the individual in the enclosed images in relation to an ongoing breaking and entering investigation in Jamaica Plain.
The facts and circumstances of the incident are as follows:
At approximately 6:50 AM on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, officers assigned to District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) responded to a radio call for a breaking and entering in progress in the area of 182 Heath Street in Jamaica Plain.
Upon arrival, officers spoke to the victim who stated than an unknown male had climbed through his bedroom window while the victim was sleeping. The victim stated the suspect attempted to pull off the victim’s blanket before he fled through the same window.
The victim described the suspect as a black male in his late teens or early twenties with a slim build and short hair.
During the course of this investigation, detectives were informed about a prior incident which is detailed below:
At approximately 3:50 AM on Sunday, August 2, 2026, officers assigned to District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) responded to a radio call for a breaking and entering in progress in the area of 180 Heath Street in Jamaica Plain.
Upon arrival, officers spoke to the victim who stated someone broke into her apartment while she was asleep. The victim stated she woke up in the middle of the night after she heard a noise. The victim stated she observed an unknown individual shine a flashlight into her room before placing her pet inside and closing the door. The victim stated she exited her bedroom and observed an unknown male suspect standing inside of her bathroom. Upon seeing the victim, the suspect fled the apartment via the fire escape. The victim stated the suspect stole her laptop, kindle, and purse.
The victim described the suspect as a black male in his twenties wearing a dark colored shirt and dark colored jeans.
