Detectives assigned to the Boston Police Department’s Homicide Unit are currently investigating a shooting that occurred early Monday morning in Hyde Park, leaving one person dead and four others injured.
At approximately 12:38 AM on Monday, August 3, 2026, District 18 officers responded to a report of a shooting in the area of 1184 Hyde Park Avenue. Upon arrival, responding officers located five adult victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
All five victims were transported to local hospitals for medical treatment. One of the victims, Ky Mani Korey Reynolds, 26, of Dorchester, was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Homicide Detectives arrested and charged Oliver Derima, 27, of Randolph, with Murder and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition. He will be arraigned in West Roxbury Court.
