On Wednesday, July 22, 2026, Boston Police arrested a suspect in connection with two separate incidents that occurred within the same early morning hours.
At approximately 5:18 a.m., officers responded to a radio call for a man down at the intersection of Boylston Street and Tremont Street. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from trauma. Boston EMS transported the victim to Tufts Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.
Separately, at approximately 9:49 a.m., officers assigned to District A-1 arrested a person of interest at the intersection of John F. Kennedy Surface Road and Beach Street in connection with an unrelated assault that had occurred earlier that morning. During that arrest, officers located and detained an individual found in possession of a metal pole. The investigation determined that a second victim had been approached from behind and struck with the pole, causing him to fall to the ground. That victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Following further investigation, the Boston Police Homicide Unit determined the suspect in the Boylston Street and Tremont Street incident to be the same individual arrested in the Beach Street assault.
Ashlie Jeremie, 27, of Bedford, MA, has been charged with:
- Murder
- Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon
- Larceny Under $1,200
Jeremie is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court.
