The Boston Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the individual depicted in the accompanying images in connection with an ongoing aggravated assault investigation.
At approximately 9:15 AM on Friday, July 17, 2026, officers responded to a radio call for an assault and battery at a business in the area of Washington Street in Downtown Crossing. Preliminary investigation indicates the suspect entered the business and became verbally aggressive with an employee after being asked to provide identification. The suspect then physically assaulted the employee, punching and kicking him before placing him in a headlock and forcing him to the ground. The employee was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The suspect is described as a light-complexioned Black male, approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall, with a slim build, black curly hair, a mustache, and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a white button-down shirt, a gray tie, black pants, and gray sneakers, and was carrying a black backpack. The suspect fled the area on foot toward Winter Street.
