Officers and Cadets from District A-7 and the Bureau of Community Engagement, joined students and staff from the Mario Umana Academy in East Boston to help kick off summer break at their Field Day.
Throughout the event, our officers talked with students about their summer plans, reflected on a successful school year, and celebrated the start of vacation. The BPD Ice Cream Truck was a big hit, serving up free ice cream made possible through the support of the Boston Police Foundation and our long-time partners at HP Hood.
We wish all students, families, and school staff across Boston a safe, fun, and memorable summer!
