Death Investigation in the area of Blue Hill Avenue and Castlegate Road, Roxbury

At approximately 12:36 AM on Sunday, July 5, 2026, an officer assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) observed a person suffering from a gunshot wound in the area of 500 Blue Hill Avenue in Roxbury.

Officers then located three victims suffering from gunshot wounds in the area of 500 Blue Hill Avenue. All three were treated and transported by Boston EMS to local hospitals.  One victim was pronounced at the hospital. The other two victims’ injuries are considered non-life-threatening. A fourth victim self-applied to a local hospital suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and is expected to survive.
