It is a busy time in our City – but our Officers, Detectives and BPD Cadets are out keeping residents and visitors safe.
This Boston Police Cadet took time to see a gentleman across a busy intersection, have a quick chat, and introduce himself.
Our Cadet program is open to men and women ages 18-25 to join Boston Police and be a part of our Community Policing model, hopefully as a precursor to becoming a recruit in our Police Academy. Being a Cadet is a 2 year commitment with a possible preference for an upcoming recruit class (as long as they pass the Civil Service policing exam and complete their two years).
