BPD Community Alert: Detectives Assigned to District A-1 Seek to Identify Vandalism Suspect

Detectives assigned to District A-1 (Downtown Boston) are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the individual pictured in connection with a vandalism incident that occurred at approximately 7:30 AM on Sunday, June 1, 2026, at the Malibu Barbie Cafe located at 101 Faneuil Hall Marketplace in Boston.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with a staff member who reported that the patio wall, front door, and a storefront display sign had been vandalized with a black marker. The suspect also left several handwritten notes on the property. The vandalism was discovered when the business opened at approximately 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 2, 2026.

The suspect is described as an older white male, observed wearing a gray “Stowe VT Vermont” crewneck sweatshirt, blue jeans, and a dark colored baseball cap as well as a camouflage baseball cap with a bruins logo. The suspect was also observed carrying a backpack.
