The Boston Police Department was proud to host seniors from across the city for the first-ever “Walk the Beat 3K” at Pope John Paul II Park in Dorchester.
Commissioner Cox, members of the Command Staff, and officers from across the Department joined participants for a walk through the park, enjoying the beautiful weather, great conversations, and an opportunity to spend time together.
After completing the 3K route, participants received commemorative medals and took part in a variety of activities including archery, yoga, and more.
A special thank you to the Boston Police Foundation, the City of Boston Age Strong Commission, and the Boston Firefighters Credit Union for their partnership and support in helping make this event possible. We are grateful to everyone who joined us for such a memorable day!
