Five Arrested after Brawl at Dorchester District Court

At about 10:04 AM on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, officers assigned to Dorchester District Court were alerted to a reported fight inside of the Courthouse at 510 Washington Street.

As officers responded to the second floor of the courthouse, they were notified that the altercation had ended but several law enforcement constituents from various agencies were still attempting to separate the involved parties. Five males involved in the altercation were moved to the courthouse holding area in an effort to prevent them from further disrupting court proceedings.

While officers awaited transports for the detained males, an additional altercation occurred in which one of the males kicked another male while handcuffed, before attempting to spit on him, missing and striking an officer with his saliva.

Officers arrested a 17-year-old juvenile male of Dorchester, Syncere Johnson, 19-years-old, of Dorchester, Damontay Brown, 20-years-old, of Boston, Shamar Passley-Clark, 19-year-old, of Dorchester, and Terrel Stokes, 19-years-old of Dorchester. All of the suspects are charged with Affray and Disrupting Court Proceedings, while the juvenile faces additional charges of Assault and Battery by means of a Dangerous Weapon and Assault and Battery on a Police Officer.
