At about 9:45 PM on Monday, May 18, 2026, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a ShotSpotter activation in the area of 67 Batchelder Street in Roxbury.
Upon arrival, officers located a spent shell casing at the intersection of Batchelder Street and Marshfield Street. While on scene, officers received information that an unknown male operating a black sedan had fired the shots before fleeing up Marshfield Street towards Clifton Street.
Officers were able to locate the vehicle in the area of 14 E Cottage Street in Dorchester. Officers identified the operator who was subsequently taken into custody.
Officers arrested Angel Fletcher, 33-years-old, of Roxbury. Fletcher is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court on charges of Discharging a Firearm within 500 feet of a Dwelling, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Carrying a Loaded Firearm, and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition.
