At about 9:30 AM on Wednesday, May 12, 2026, members of the District C-6 (South Boston) and A-1 (Downtown) Drug Control Units executed a search warrant in the area of Beach Street in Boston which resulted in the arrest of Joey Liang, 46-years-old, of Boston and the recovery drugs and cash.
Officers conducted a drug investigation into the suspect which led to the retention of a search warrant for the suspect’s person and his residence in Boston.
Officers observed the suspect exit his residence from the front door where he was subsequently taken into custody. Officers searched the suspect and located seventeen plastic bags containing fifteen grams of Fentanyl. Officers retrieved a key to the suspect’s residence and made entry. Inside of the residence, officers recovered an additional thirty-nine plastic bags containing thirty-five grams of Fentanyl and an undisclosed amount of US Currency.
Liang is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court on the charge of Trafficking Fentanyl.
