Officers Arrest 14-year-old Male Following Shooting in Dorchester

At about 8:08 PM on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a radio call for a person shot in the area of Milton Avenue in Dorchester.

Upon arrival, officers located a juvenile female victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers immediately rendered aid until Boston EMS arrived and transported the victim to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers searched the area and located several juveniles throughout the residence. Officers were directed to the basement where two juvenile males were standing between the rear door of the residence and the basement door. Inside of the backpack one of the males was wearing, officers located a loaded firearm. The juvenile male was taken into custody.

The firearm was determined to be a Polymer 80 style 9mm black semi-automatic pistol which was loaded with six rounds of live ammunition.

Officers arrested a 14-year-old juvenile male of Dorchester who is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on charges of Delinquent to wit Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, Carrying a Firearm without a License, and Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device.
