Keeping Boston Safe: At about 6:00 AM on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, members of the Citywide Drug Control Unit and the District D-4 (South End) Drug Control Unit executed a search warrant resulting in the arrest of Daniel Harris, 41-years-old, of Dorchester as well as the recovery of drugs and cash in the area of Norfolk Street in Dorchester.
Officers conducted a drug investigation which resulted in the retention of a search warrant for the suspect’s person, residence, and motor vehicle.
Along with members of the SWAT Team, officers approached the suspect’s residence and upon notifying the residents of the search warrant, they made entry. As officers attempted to secure the premise, they observed the suspect running from the bathroom and into another room. The suspect was taken into custody as officers continued their search. Inside of the bathroom, officers observed white powder and rock drug residue inside of and around the toilet as well as several empty plastic bags scattered on the bathroom floor. Officers recovered a substance believed to be crack cocaine as well as an undisclosed amount of US Currency.
Harris is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on charges of Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B Substance.
