The Boston Marathon is filled with heartwarming moments from start to finish, and this year was no exception for our BPD Team.
Chrissy Walsh, widow of BPD Detective Mark Walsh, completed the 26.2 mile journey from Hopkinton to Boylston Street in his memory and crossed the finish line with their two children by her side. After finishing, she was met by Commissioner Cox and loved ones, marking a powerful and emotional moment for all in attendance.
Moments like this remind us of the strength, resilience, and support that define the Boston community. Congratulations to Chrissy, the Walsh family, and all the runners who took part in the 130th Boston Marathon!
