BPD in the Community: District D4 Honors World War II Veteran Arthur Rose on His 107th Birthday

The Boston Police Department’s District D4 Community Service Office had the honor of providing an escort to longtime D4 resident and World War II veteran Arthur Rose for a very special occasion.

District D4 was present at Arthur’s 107th birthday celebration this past February, and this week Arthur was presented with the Massachusetts State House flag that was flown in his honor on February 1st. The flag was presented by Governor Maura Healey, Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll, and State Representative Jay Livingstone.

Arthur’s friends and family joined him for the ceremony, sharing in a well-deserved tribute to a man who has given so much to his country and his community.

The Boston Police Department is proud to serve alongside residents like Arthur Rose. It is a privilege to be part of moments like this one
