About 5:25 PM, on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, officers assigned to District D-4 (South End) responded to the area of 369 Beacon Street for a report of a larceny in progress.
Police were advised that a suspect was seen following a UPS truck and stealing the packages after delivery. A description of the suspect was broadcasted to all responding officers.
After canvassing the area, the suspect was located in the rear of Beacon Street, at 412 Back Street. There was multiple open packages and bags that were scattered around. One of the packages was promptly returned to the rightful owner.
Jose Denier, 33, of Weymouth, was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court for larceny theft from a building.
