Investigation Update: Suspect Arrested for a Stabbing Incident on Huntington Avenue

Investigation Update: Detectives assigned to District D-4 (South End) with the assistance from the Northeastern University Police Department conducted an investigation into an earlier stabbing incident at 291 Huntington Avenue. Through video footage, Detectives were able to locate the involved suspect in the area of 316 Huntington Avenue. Stephen Dantzler, 58, of Boston, was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court for Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon.

The facts and circumstances surrounding the prior incident are as follows: At about 8:19 AM, on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, officers assigned to District D-4 (South End) responded to the area of 291 Saint Botolph Street for a report of a person stabbed. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

After further investigation, it was determined that the incident occurred outside of 291 Huntington Avenue, and the victim was located on Saint Botolph Street.
