BPD in the Community: G.R.O.W. program celebrates women and girls all year long
In honor of Women’s History Month, we proudly highlighted women in first responder roles. Our participants specifically requested to learn more about these roles as they explore careers in these fields and beyond.
G.R.O.W. proudly heard from and celebrated a powerful network of women leaders, including from the Boston Police Department Sgt. Detective Nina Jefferson, Sgt. Linsey Onishuk, and Detective Latoya Gamble, alongside our partners from EMS Superintendent Lee Alexander and Deputy Taishana K. Lewis
Each month, G.R.O.W. creates intentional space for connection through mentorship and networking. This helps our girls see themselves reflected in leadership while gaining real access to those spaces
Through these experiences, our girls are empowered to learn, lead, and confidently envision their futures.
A heartfelt thank you to our incredible guests for showing up as both mentors and inspiration
