Two Arrested for Violent Assault After Motor Vehicle Accident in Dorchester

At about 8:47 PM on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a radio call for a fight at the intersection of Blue Hill Avenue and Abbot Street in Dorchester.

Upon arrival, officers located the victim who had a laceration on the side of his face and appeared to be bleeding from his mouth. The victim stated he was attempting to park his vehicle in the area of 870 Blue Hill Avenue when he accidentally hit another parked vehicle. The victim stated that because there was nowhere for him to park, he pulled further up Blue Hill Avenue. The victim stated that two males inside of the other vehicle followed him, inciting fear and causing the victim to attempt to flee up Abbot Street, which is a one-way, striking two additional motor vehicles.

Officers spoke to the two suspects who stated the victim struck their car and then attempted to flee the scene without exchanging paperwork. The suspects stated the victim drove down a one-way street and struck a parked motor vehicle pushing it into another parked motor vehicle.

Officers spoke to multiple witnesses who stated that after the victim’s vehicle had crashed into the two parked cars on Abbot Street, they observed the two suspects smash the victim’s window, drag him out of the car and then viciously beat him.

Officers arrested the driver, Anthony Shearrion, 41-years-old, of Jamaica Plain and the passenger, Arkie Swinson, 45-years-old, of Mattapan. Both are expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on charges of Malicious Destruction of Property and Assault and Battery.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
